Common Cause

Is there one problem, in the view of patients, which has the highest priority in all countries? on which we can launch a unified campaign?

Our Medical-Advisor, Prof. Matthias Schneider, asked this question in his article in
Caring & Sharing, Winter 2006 issue page 6 “Management of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus - First Evidence-based Recommendations”.

The question arose on the basis of the newly defined Recommendations for Lupus -
recommendations by doctors. But what is OUR real issue?

Prof. Matthias Schneider invited us to make this a special project: The one question, project, idea or trial that has to be answered and followed through.

An issue like this should be an ongoing process. So it starts locally, is gathered nationally and then collected internationally.

This means a project that evolve from individual, local initiative to be conveyed through
our national organizations to a common European ground.

It is a fantastic project to be unveiled through a true evolutionary process - just like the process of the butterfly - a seed, embryo, pubic, larva and full bloom….

We can make this happen?
